Kawaiiiiiiiii.
On Tuesday we went to Akihabara.
It’s called ‘Electric City’ because it has a load of electronics, gadgets and computer games and stuff. There’s a huge main road and stuff that looks like this…

…and a back alley thing that has loads of shops like this.

They look like they’re gay pound shops or something but they sell some seriously sweet gadgets for super cheap.
Like crossbows…

…and Batarangs…

…and precious things.

Speaking of which, a lot of people out here seriously hate us crackers/whities. A lot of people have gone to sit down next to me on a train before realising I’m a gaijin and moving to another part of the train. Although that day a kid gave me some chewing gum, which I think is supposed to be the great honour possible out here.
For lunch, we hit a ramen restaurant where you ordered by putting money into a machine with no pictures on it. It’s annoying when that happens.

I got char-shu-men, rice and gyoza. I think.

For dessert we went to a ‘maid cafĂ©’ where girls are paid to dress as maids, talk in high voices and act like dickheads all day. You pay a 500 yen table charge and then have to buy something. We weren’t allowed to take photos of the actual room but I got this sweet shot of a cake.

It has a bowtie, look.
The menu was just utter bollocks too. Normally you can tell what they’re getting at but this just took the piss.

I paid 500 yen for this polaroid of me wearing a white dog hat with one of them. The photographer took it at the perfect moment, I think.

After that, just so Jez would start liking my blog again, we went to a sex shop with 6 floors, an S&M dungeon and the most realistic sex dolls ever.

You weren’t allowed to take photos so I had to take this one in secret, but I think it came out quite well. You might not be able to tell from this picture but the doll in the middle is of a ten year old girl and costs 560 000 yen. It’s really weird that you can buy stuff like this (and used pants) in such a mainstream shop.
Back in Omiya we went to this japanese tapas sort of thing where everything was way smaller than it was on the menu. I got raw horse and some cake.

Then we went to karaoke again…

…and got kind of an early night since we were getting up early for our trip up Mount Fuji the next day.
I’m back to capsule hotels tonight but will try and use the internet while I’m there.
Peace and fucking, believe.
